The Bat 12 is great for pilots 8 and up because it has a shorter wing span and is easier to launch. It tends to fly faster and can do tighter turns. It flies well in higher winds and can be launched at a 45 degree angle into the wind with two black rubber bands around the launch hooks.

The Bat 18 is the most all around glider. It launches high and flies a long time. It makes about 75 foot circles and likes to ride the thermals.
